When people consider having patio doors fitted they rarely consider fitting sliding folding doors. They tend to instead stick with 1970’s style sliding double glazed patio doors, which is odd given that they are considerable more expensive than sliding folding doors and look nowhere near as nice and that you cannot simply paint them to fit in when you change your room’s decor.

Sliding folding patio doors fold back out of the way, so you get that seamless connection with your garden on bright summer’s days. The fact that they fold out of the way also means that they are safer than sliding patio doors there is no danger of walking or running into them which often happens with traditional sliding patio doors.

Sliding Folding Doors Cost Less

Sliding folding doors are inexpensive and easy to install yourself. If you want to fit sliding folding doors yourself you can with the help of a friend, but with sliding doors you will need to pay a glazier or builder to do it for you. Double glazed sliding folding doors are considerably cheaper than a double glazed sliding door to buy in the first place and are just as hardwearing.
